Is The Custom Food Option Available Without A Subscription?

Our custom diets are formulated to meet your pet's individual metabolic requirement, so these meals are available to subscribing customers only. Subscriptions can be paused, or canceled at any time up to 7 days prior to your next shipment date. To learn more about custom orders click HERE.

What If I Want To Cancel A Subscription?

Subscriptions can be cancelled by navigating to the My Account page and selecting Cancel Subscription.

What Is The CRN Number?

Our custom diets are given a special number that we call CRN. This is a reference number that is used when a customer wants to make an adjustment to their custom order.

Can I Save My Credit Card Information For Future Online Purchases?

Yes, you can securely save your credit card information to your account. For security purposes, if you share an account we recommend that you NOT store your credit information online as anyone who has access to your username and password could charge Vital Vittles purchases to the card without your knowledge. To manage your account, just click on "My Account" at the top of the page.

Where Can I Change My Account Info?

How Should I Transition My Dog To Vital Vittles Food?

Vital Vittles is an energy dense food, so you should transition from your old food over the course of several days. We recommend the following transition rate of old food to Vital Vittles food; Day 1 - 75%/25%, Day 2 - 50%/50%, Day 3 - 25%/75%, Day 4 - fully transitioned.

How Much Should I Feed My Dog?

Custom ordered meals are packaged into portion containers based specifically on your dog's daily metabolic requirements.

How Long Will The Food Stay Good When Refrigerated?

Vital Vittles dog food contains no artificial preservatives and is made from human grade, fresh ingredients and should be refrigerated or frozen. The food will be frozen when delivered to your location and should be kept in the freezer until ready to defrost for consumption. Defrosted food must be refrigerated, and should be discarded after 4 days.

Should the food be warmed before serving?

Yes, the most palatable food is warmed to just above room temperature.

How often should I feed my dog?

It’s advantageous to feed your dog twice per day and each meal should consist of 15-20 minute feeding durations.
